Acupuncture

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an invasive therapy whereby a fine needle is placed into a muscle in order to reduce tension within it.

Used on its own or in conjunction with osteopathy, acupuncture can have great results with trigger point (knots) and disc issues.

What to expect

If you have not experienced any form of manual therapy before here is a quick overview.

Upon arrival your osteopath will set up their couch in the agreed upon location.

In your first appointment admin details and lifestyle questions will be asked in order to get an overall picture of your physiological demands.

An assessment of the complaint will occur and diagnosis will be given.

Providing it is safe to continue, treatment will then be provided.

Post treatment, exercises and stretches may be given to help sustain the effects of the treatment given.

Finally, rebooking and farewells.
